Introduction:
Ischemic heart disease occurs when blood flow to the heart is reduced due to narrowed coronary arteries, which may lead to chest pain (angina) or heart attack.
Symptoms:
Chest tightness or pain (especially during activity), shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, or cold sweats.
Who it affects:
Smokers, individuals with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or a family history of heart disease.
Diagnosis:
• ECG and cardiac enzyme blood tests
• Stress testing
• Coronary angiography
• Echocardiography
